Question about Ford Escape

Open Question

The power window button on my 2002 ford escape stopped working right today. It is the driver's window that is having problems. I went to put the window down today and think i hit the button in a weird way and moved it out of place. I can angle it correctly to wear it will go down so I know it is not the motor, but cannot get it to go up. I was looking for a way to maybe pop the button off and put it back in place. Thanks, Seth

SOURCE: Drivers electric window stuck in down position

actually you have thought of all but the prob. The track has jumped, making the motor not move the window. Sometimes you can gently slide the window up by hand and then the motor will catch the track and finish rolling the window up

SOURCE: 2002 Buick Lesabre drivers side window went down,

A couple of things to add to tinyp's solution. For Buicks, the regulator is bolted in, not riveted, which makes removal easier. Also, you'd better get used to this, as I have replaced 3 out of 4 window regulators on my 2002 LeSabre.

Check the fuse panel first, after that check your fuse relays under the hood, if not then it might be a wiring problem.

2005 ford escape 2x4 with 2.3. Drivers side rear wheel bearing went out. And I'm haveing problems installing the new one. Every time I go to put the hub assembly back into the bearin it breaks

on alot of breaks are caused from not working evenly the bearing must go in the hub evenly not one side more than the other if you are putting it in evenly then someone may have given you the wrong bearing make sure before you try it again that you do have the right bearing and avoid beaking another one

How do I fix the problem of all 4 power windows

See if you have power coming out of the master power window switch when a button is pushed down. Remove a door panel and check for power at the window motor with the switch pushed. If you do not have power it could be the master switch. Good luck.

Power window failure on 2002 Ford Escape

I have a 2001 Ford Escape. My driver window doesn't alway roll up when I push the button. As silly as it sounds, when the driver window won't come up, I roll down the front passenger window and then push the buttons for both front windows. The driver window comes up then. I've been doing this for about 6 mos. so eventually it will probably fail. But it is a short time fix.

This is a problem with the alternator. Diode rectifiers and voltage regulator replacement will give this baby a 14.2 voltage output. In this 3L V6 SUV removal of the alternator requires removing the right tire, the right axis and undercovering to reach the 6G alternator. It is a 133mm rectifier with a motorcraft, The serpentine belt is better removed from the bottom. Also keep a bucket on hand to recover the oil from the transmission.
