Question about 1996 Geo Metro
Every things seems to being working out but it now has a clicking or almost a nocking sound as well as it has lost its ability to go. It is not a head gasket. checked for that it is alson not a rod proplem. when I look under the hood while the car is running I see a spark from the coil.
I get a noise very similar to what you are describing when my oil gets a little low....been told it is the tappers.

If you can see a visual spark from the coil, replace it. You may also have some loose wiring at the coil connections. Finally, the cable that goes into the distributor may be faulty. Go through your basic tune up guide lines for replacing plug wires, plugs, and coil, rotor and cap. I feel confident you will fix your problem with basic tune up know how.

This could be the engine is not firing on all its cylinders, there can be compression problem or spark plug not firing. Check compression dry and wet tests.
