Question about 2000 Saturn L-Series

1 Answer

I have a 2000 saturn LS2. The right high beam does not work, the left one works fine. I changed the bulb and that didn't work. There is no power in the LT Blue wire form the under hood fuse box. The right headlight fuse is fine. No idea where to go next.

Left operating headlight not working

the switch supplies power to the relays that switch on the lights according to the position you have it at
so on high beam there will be 2 high beam lights working
on low beam there will be 2 low beam lights working
back to passing lights or flashing head lights , both beams will work so the switch is the last item to consider
Now with only one side beam not working it comes back to the ground on that light for that bulb
remember that electricity follows the path of least resistance so it the ground is bad the current will ground out through another point including a light which will switch that light off or make it not work
remember the brakes light that flask when an indicator is used --same thing

High beams work for both lights, 1 low beam does not

Check for power with a test light with the light connected. If you have power then its the ground. If no power then you will need to trace the wire back to find break. As I recall they did have seperate fuse for left and right headlight high & low beam. Also did you get a defective new bulb?

Low beams on 2004 chevy trailblazer wont work but high beams work fine.lights all work automaticly

Try changing the bulbs. No. They didn't both burn out at once. You probably drove for a while with one headlight, and didn't know it.

My drivers side low beam headlight in my 2001 saturn sl1 is not working I changed the bulb and still nothing

most of the models have a fuse in the fuse panel for left and right low and high beam individually, did you check the fuses? Also the wiring at the bulb or metal contact may be corroded

2000 Ford Mustang GT. High beams BOTH WORK. Signal lights BOTH WORK. Low beam ONLY works on the right side. Both bulbs have been replaced. What is going on???? This is driving me mad!!

Have you checked the fuses yet? The low beams use 2 different fuse for the left and right lamps. The fuse for the left lamp is #10 in the central junction box located behind the dash to the left of the steering column.

I have a 2000 saturn ls sedan. My headlights are no longer working. All other lights are functioning fine. Tail lights, brake lights, turn signals.....all fine. Its just that when I turn my headlights on...

it is most likely a blown fuse, the fuse box is usually under the hood also check the low beam relay,it may also be in the fuse box,if you have a test light see if there is any power to the low beam at the bulbs,if they are H4 bulbs it is the center terminal, also check for any loose wires or connector plugs,,,,,hope this helps......cheers

Low beams stopped working high beams work fine

Either both bulbs are bad(I've seen it before) or your
dimmer/headlight switch is bad. If you can without pulling the bulb, pull plug from the light. If it's a 4 lamp system pull the low beam. Do this on the left side as the right feeds from the left. With a 12v test light, check for power. (with lo beam on) if you have
power, change the lamp, if you don't it's most likly
the dimmer switch at the steering collum.
Hope this helps Good luck
