The horn pad plastic trim (part of the airbag module) is distorted from heat, this causes the horn contacts within the pad to touch at times, you will need to replace the airbag for the steering wheel.

Horn on my 2003 monte carlo stopped working. The volume got weaker and weaker until finally no sound is made when you press the horn

do you hear a click sound from a relay when pressing on horn button? most likely is underhood. if so,locate the horn(s) and test voltage with a test light or DVOM at the horn + side. if both have voltage, check - side.(ground).if both are correct replace both horns.

The horn blow continuously. I ended up having to remove the fuse to get it to stop. it's not like a car alarm, it's just a steady, constant, blowing of the horn.

it's the horn relay has a short to ground which closes your swich and will make the horn stay on. replacing the relay (usually found under the hood in the fuse box) that should resolve the issue if not then you would have to trace the ground.

My car horn randomly goes off while car is off?

The horn works by earthing, normally done by you pressing switch, if the horns wire or the internally creates a contact to earth(chassis) your horn will sound. Take your switch apart on you steering wheel & give it a clean.
Hope this helps, if not, remove wire at horn end, leaves you with no horn but peaceful nights.
Have a nice day.

The horn has died on our 2000 passat estate it got quieter and quieter and harder to work, a friend recomended banging it with a hammer while pressing the horn. This did not work although the horns made a...

Check the horn relay is ok,
Check the horn ground is ok.

Place a trouble light across the horn supply- when horn is pressed it should light up steady.
If it lights up, the voltage to the horn is ok -then a replacement horn should fix it.

Horn not working looking for fuse

First check fuse then relay. If trouble finding obtain repair manual.
Basic diagnostic method is to start at the horn(s). There should be two wires. One is negative the other positive. If connections good. You will need a voltage tester and a jumper lead. A simple 12 volt bulb can be used as a tester. Pull one of the horn wires and attach tester then attach other tester lead to negative. Test horn. If no indication repeat with other horn wire (don't confuse horn connections). If voltage present Horn defective. Next check for voltage at relay. If voltage in to relay but not out replace relay. If no voltage in to relay replace fuse. If still not found then problem is with horn switch or wires between.

When i start my 2006 chrysler 300c the horn will sound and will not stop till i turn the car off

Sounds like you have a problem with the alarm system. Does it beep, or blow at a steady keel? If it beeps, alarm, if it blows steady, look for a stuck horn pad.
