There are 2 coil packs that send spark to the plugs. 1 covers 2&3 the other covers 1&4. the most likely problem would be a bad coil. I have had to change them on Corsicas and Berettas. If this persists. it is probably the ignition module that the coils bolt to.

My 1993 corsica 3.1 v6 trouble code is42.what should I look for to fix my engine

After a Google search I found trouble code 42 involves the spark control circuit. First thing you do is make sure you have a good connection at all the plugs going to your distributor module (the things the spark plug wires go to). If you still have an issue, you need to try replacing the distributor module. If that doesn't solve the issue, you either have a fried ECM (Engine Control Module [computer or brain box as some call it]) or there is a short in the wiring going to your distributor module. Hope this helps.

1993 chevy corsica backfires

I think you have a valve problem. Need to remove valve covers and look for loose or broken rocker arms. If an exhaust valve does not open because the rocker is broken the trapped combustion gasses will revert through the intake when the intake valve opens. This can interupt the intake flow to other cylinders and prevent starting.

I have a '92 Corsica 3.1 V6 Have had a start problem. No Spark. Cranks fine, & have replaced the starter, coils & module. Does this car also have crank & cam sensors on it? It is...

probably has a crank sensor on the back side of the motor toward the tranny, if not bolted on the tranny bellhousing. if that thing goes bad, it wont fire. it should have 2 wires going to it and usually one bolt holding it in.
