Change the coil pack. Or have your ignition module tested. If all is good then maybe distributor.

SOURCE: coil pack not firing

Hello, this could be your ignition module. This also could be a faulty ECU, crank sensor, ECS computer or TPS sensor. AutoZone can run a free diagnostic on your car to pinpoint your problem for you and I hope this fixes your problem!

Why 90 ford ranger wont start

if it is a 4clyinder or 6 with E D I S ignition there is only one coil pack for the plugs either 4/6 and if your getting a no spark from one spark tower in the coil you must replace it ,but you can check the plug that it is plugged into but I don't think it will make a difference and the pack needs to be replaced

My car wont star the dash lights and every thing comes on but wont start

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

If the car won't fire then it can be a faulty coil pack. If the coil pack is faulty there will be no current to the plugs, one good reason why it won't fire up the engine.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Wont start. some coil packs are not firing.

Replace and/or check the the coil packs for continuity associated with the cylinders that are not firing.

Also, check for fuel delivery using a fuel pressure gauge on the rail, and verify that the fuel injectors are firing using a noid tester or a stethoscope on the fuel injector to check that they are clicking.

Try to add starter fluid to the intake manifold through the throttle body to see if it starts that way, signalling a fuel delivery problem if it starts right up.

Good luck on this repair.

HAD CORE PACK REPLACED IN JUNE 09. EVERY SINCE CAR

Maybe the fuel pump is going out have the fuel pressure checked. Or you have a defective coil pack. You should have taken it back to who ever put the coil pack on, right away when you first started having trouble.
