My passenger side electric window stopped working on my 1991gmc sierra 1500. The passenger side switch panel don't work for the window but works for the lock. Driver side master switch doesn't work for the...

The odds of both switches going bad at the same time is high, remove the door panel and tap on the window motor with a hammer, while trying the switches. I may have jammed up. Ground a test light and check the motor connection, while trying the switch, power will show on either side depending on if it turning up or down

My driver side window wont roll up

First check the fuses for both electric windows if they are good. The fuse box one is on the engine compartment driver side look for long retangular black box and open the fuse cover the cover should designate what the fuses and relay is for the other is on the driver side under the dashboard just above your left foot look under you should see another fuse box.If both fuses are good, then your going to have to check the window regulator which is inside each door.Open the door panel and check window regulator morethan likely the regulator assembly need to be change. You might just need the motor. The whole assembly is quite expensive.

Electrical problems?

Reads like it is a problem for an auto electrician or someone with access to the vehicles wiring diagram - presumably at some point two circuits are crossing. More likely if it is a modern car, it maybe a bit of computerised hardware that needs a fix or replacement.

I have a 2004 Cadillac CTS and after changing my battery the driver side windows won't go down. the whole electrical on the driver doors isn't working. what do i need to do?

First check your fuses (Manual should have that location for the window fuses). Also do the other windows go down on the other side with the switch on the drivers door? And what else doesn't work ( Mirrors, Locks )?

Window on driver side is down but will not go up . Passenger side woks fine

May I presume that it is an electric window?

#1 check fuse and wiring, especially wiring in the door sleeve, as the drivers door is the most used.

#2 Check the switch, make sure that this wiring and switch is ok, exchange with passenger to test

#3 The window track may be tired and u may have to bring it up by hand

How can i get my driver side window to work?

Not sure of what the problem is, but I would start with checking the fuses. I think yours are under the hood on the drivers side? If the fuses look fine, I would go to the switch in the door panel and pop it out. I would then check it with a multimeter to ensure there was electricity going to the switch. If there is no electricity to the switch, go back to the fuses. if there is electricity to the switch, I would continue checking the switch when I depress the button to see if the switch is operational. If the switch is working, the next stop would be testing the window motor, which is inside the door itself.

My 1997 Pontiac Grand Am driver side window will not roll up but passenger side works completely

I have a 1999 grand prix and I had this same problem. It was my switch on the drivers side cluster. I bought a whole used cluster on ebay for $25. We tested my motor by applying power to the motor with 12 volts from a battery. a power window motor window has 2 wires. put (+) on one, and (-) on another and one way will take the window up, the other will roll it down.

Driver's side window will not open or close automaticaly. Has to be pulled up and down by hand

Check the wiring and connectors supplying the driver-side window motor and also the fuses in case each window is fused seperately. The electric motor may have failed. When you operate the switch do you hear the motor working?
