Question about 2004 Saturn VUE

2 Answers

I own a 2004 Saturn Vue. It keeps clicking. My Bf thinks its a hazard relay switch but I can't find one online. I keep hearing a clicking noise. It is not constant noise. It is random. It sometimes stops when the emergency lights or blinkers are turned on but if it was on before, it comes right back on to clicking.

There are two things that cause this clicking noise u hear, one and most common is the hazard flasher relay switch assmbly, they also say in a factory bulletin the turn signal switch on the steering column can cause this, any GM dealer should be able to order these parts for you.
here are the part numbers, they are avail from www.rockauto.com
AIRTEX / WELLS Part # 1S7579

When you hear the clicking ask your bf to go under the dash drivers side and track down the relay it's usually black square 1"x 1" box and pull it out. Then go to napa, kragan,or any auto parts store and match the relay. that should solve your problem

Hazard light switch clicks all the time very fast?

You need to replace the flasher relay. I am not familiar with the Saturn Vue, but the flasher unit is usually located either under the dash adjacent to the steering column or fuse block. I would look under the dash while the flashers are on. If the relay is bad you should be able to locate it by the clicking sound that it will be making. A replacement unit can be purchased at an autoparts store. Take the old one with you for reference. Hope this helped and best wishes.

2004 Saturn Vue hazard light button pushed into the dash

Same on my 2004 Vue. Pry up shift panel, use putty knifes, slot screew driver, then pry up outer panel (with power window switches). remove screws holding radio, climate control panel (I believe there were 4 screws). gently lift this panel up and push gently toward windshield to unlatch. Don't lift higher than is necessary to acess 4 way flasher switch as climate control cables shouldn't be pulled hard so as do damage to climate control panel. The catches broke on my 4 way switch so I used Goop (from Walmart, Lowes etc.) to glue it in switch recptical. After glue dries, latch panel, screw panel in place and snap widow switch and shif panels in place.

Battery light keeps coming on and steering wheel noise

Hi,

Initially, would suspect that the vehicle has a loose belt that is common to the power steering pump and the alternator.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
