How do i get info on any recalls on my 2004 pont aztec & how do i get in contact with somebody about anti-lock & awd problems

Hi! Matt, Most likely if the anti-lock brake light and the awd disable light come on at the same time a wheel bearing / wheel speed sensor assembly is faulty.Listen for a humming noise when driving and try to determine where it is coming from(left/right/front/ back) or any looseness/play in any wheel. That's the possible bearing/wheel speed sensor causing the problem. Or have the abs system scanned to determine which wheel sensor is reading incorrectly. If the awd disable light is off then the awd system should be funtioning.

I have a bad vibration that appears to be coming from the rearend. Started out only at certain speeds now it's all the time. Stops when you let off the gas. Shakes the entire vehicle.

A couple of things to check. It may be a wheel bearing, shock, cv joint, or a very common cause is that one or both of your back tires are worn irregularly. This causes the car to shimmy and get progressively worse as you have explained. It usually happens on the front end of the car, but can occur in the back.

My right front wheel bearing keeps going out. I wondered if it was a defect

Call a dealer and see if there was a recall, that should have been pointed out to you by now. I would have the lower control arm bushings and ball joint replaced the next time you do the bearing. On that vehicle you may have to buy the entire control arm which includes those components. If you are doing the bearing anyway the extra labor will not be much.

2003 ford expedition wheel bearing keeps failing is there a reason? Is there a part recall? It looks like others have had this issue what do you know about this?

front? rear?

I did not find a TSB or recall.

Biggest issue with wheel bearings is corrosion due to water ingress.

I have some either brake rotor or front wheel bearing issues? how do i tell the difference in a rotor issue or wheel bearing issue? i have some noise coming from my front drivers wheel, i took the pads off...

no recalls that I know of, but you can always call the dealer, give them the VIN number and they can tell you of any outstanding recalls.. if you have thep ads off in your hand an spin the wheel and you hear grinding noises, then I would say the bearing is bad.

Right front wheel bearing needs replacing,I see where the 2006 model is recalled for this problem, not the 2005?

Not sure if recall for 2005 models, I have one and the front bearings are packed in a hub, you have to remove the wheel, caliper and base and behind the hub theres 3 5/8" bolts, remove them and you will have a complete assembly removed.

I have an 2001 oldsmobile alero and everytime i turn my car on, my sensor lights immediately go off: service vehicle soon, service engine soon, anti-lock, and trac off. whats causing these problems, i've...

you have a problem known to many alero and pontiac grand am cars you have a bad wheel bearing, this is a common problem with these cars and they will not do a recall on this.you need to have your front wheel bearing hubassemblies replaced its not a bad job can be done by a decent backyard mechanic but a lot cheaper then going to the dealer, just save your reciepts in case they do recall your car for this problem they will reimburse you for your cost. If you have service engine light on, trac. off light and the ABS light on the same time, you may be able to get it fixed my reprogramming the power control module (with updated software calibration).
