I recently purchased a one for $1500etested and certified With 144000K pw,pl,ps,Cruise,am/fm/cd so look for deals (dealer told me he paid $800 for it on a trade and he had to put $400 in brake lines in for the safety) I found him through Kijiji your best bet is to look at wheels.ca, autotrader.ca, and kijiji and compare what people are selling for to get a baseline.

My 2992 chev cavalier is surging forwarward when I step on the gas untill i reach aprox 30 km an hr

I guess it is surging forward if it is a 2992 model year! All jokes aside it sounds as though you are having fuel injection problems. Have them flushed and it should straighten itself out. If the fuel injectors are bad you will no after you flush them and problem persists.

What kind of coolant should I put in a 1996 Chevy Cavalier

Notice: When adding coolant, use DEX-COOL® coolant. If silicated coolant is added to the system, premature engine, heater core or radiator corrosion may result. In addition, the engine coolant will require change sooner-at 50 000 km (30,000 mi) or 24 months.

97 Cavalier brake chattering at 80 km/hr or higher

Sounds as if your brake rotors are warped from overheating. You can have them machined to take this out if they are thick enough. This should take care of the problem, if not replace rotors.

judging by labor times if its the 2.2 liter it only pays 8/10ths , can't be that bad , if its the 2.4liter , it pays 1.2 hrs , could be a little more tricky. good luck with that
