Does a 2001 buick lesabre have shocks ? if so how much does it cost to replace?

Ok first of all your car has shocks in the rear and they are not very hard to replace or terribly expensive. The front has what they call struts which in effect are shocks with a springs wrapped around them as an assembly. Replacing struts can be expensive and will probably need to be changed by a shop if you are not equipped to do it yourself. You will most likely need to get the wheels aligned as well. I recommend calling around to different shops for a price. My guess for new front struts installed plus the alignment is $300-$400.

I need to replace my front struts on my 98 Buick park ave I don't have much money to work with what is the best solution and do I need a special tool to replace them

Hello! The best thing to do is go to a well know junkyard that have good condition items. And you need to look at your car to see if you have tools that you can take them off. Don't forget to ask your friends if they have tools and if they can help you.

I have a 2002 buick lesabre limited and my car is leaning on the passanger side is that the struts?

The vehicle is supported by coil springs. On the front the coil is part of the strut assembly. If you jack up the side of the vehicle that is low (jack under the subframe or by the pinch weld) you sould be able to see if the spring is broken or not.

If it is there is a solution called a "quick Strut" this will be a complete strut assembly that is completely assembled. All you will need to do is remove the old one, install the new one, and have the vehicle aligned.

It is recommended to do these in pairs (both fronts or both rears or all four at the same time, the rears are usually shocks or air shocks).
the other alternative is to replace the spring. the strut will need to be installed into a spring compressor in order to replace the coil. It will still need to be removed from the vehicle and brought to a machine shop or service facility to have the spring replaced. It is a good idea to replace both springs and struts at this time. You will find with a little price shopping that it is not that much more to go with quick struts.

How to change front struts on a l998 lesabre

It's a pretty intense job and requires specialty tools. You might want to have a competent shop do it for you. You need a large spring compressor and job requires front end part removals (it's not like replacing shock absorber) Shop around lots of shops have sales, plus they warranty their work.

How to replace front struts on a 2002 buick lesabre

That is a job left to a mechanic, as it requires speacial and expensive tools. Also note, doing it yourself can resuly in serious injury or even death, due to the replace ment of the springs when working on the struts.

If this is a job you have no knowlege of, its best to leave it to a professional.

Also not, that the car will require a front end alignment after the struts have been replaced.

Yes there are struts on the front and shocks on the back. 2 of each. They are around $50-100 for the fronts. $30-100 for the rears depending if the car has air ride or not.
