Not sure what you are trying to kill, so I presume that you want to antitheft. I would put the switch in the coil 12 volt supply line.

have you tried those "Hidden Fuses" towards the front passenger side bottom/feet area right side... you may have to wiggle a bit.. remove carpet and panel.. you will some hidden fuses... not 100%.. but they r there

take off the door panels and try the switch from the other door and see if that works. if so then the switch is bad.

something is heating up it could be the ignition relay or a bad ignition switch. relay can over heat and stop working this would take some time to cool down again, ignition can do the same some times you can feel the heat on the key when removed.

check fuses first if okay then check to see if your getting power to blower motor if so then replace motor.

Try your local Autozone, Advanced AutoParts, or NAPA, any one of them should have either the KYB GR2 or Monroe strut replacement shocks for your car.
