How to check my corolla 1996 model speedometer not working

I would find out how much it is to install an instrument panel on your vehicle. If the cost is reasonable, the mechanic will have to install a used part. If it costs over 500 or so to fix, you might want to start looking for another car.

Reopen heater valve

I would doubt this very much, you dont say what the mechanic was doing in the first place.if the mechanic was working at the water/heater system then i would say its an air lock in the system a simple air bleed fix this.adrian

Check the fuse box, these new cars has a lot more fuses than older models. I am sure it explains in the manual. Or then just call Toyota to ask :)

William,

You can purchase one at either Auto Zone, O'Reilly or Pepboys, almost all autoparts houses have them or can get them for you. They usually run about 18.00
