Question about 1988 Nissan 300ZX
Hi IrishDruid, i did not get to try those tests that you told me yet on the 300zx 1988 but when i was reading your solution i noticed you said to check the spark plugs to see if they were really black and i forgot to mention that i pulled them out to see if maybe one of them were bent and they were fine but i did notice they were really black so does that mean the injectors are bad without even trying any of the tests that you mentioned? and if this is so, i know there is a recall but not sure if they were ever replaced on this car. I GREATLY appreciate your help.

Yes, if you found a black plug on the injector, that could be the root of your issue. Before you try anything though, find out about the recall, and see if they will take it back/replace it.
If they dont, then you can go about trying to fix this issue. It could be that the plugs are not seating properly or the point may need to be adjusted.
Go along that line and that could solve your issue.
By the way, I would appreciate a Fixya in the original query, if my solution helped in any way :)
