The ticking noise is your soloinoid trying to engage your starter. Check battery, battery to motor and battery to body grounding for corrosion. Also check motor to body ground strap for corossio. These points corrode under fasteners. If these ar ok, it's either your soloinoid or starter, and you might as well replace both.

The first place you need to start is charging your battery. I've had the same problem as recient as yesterday. After about 5 min with the jumper cables, I was good to go. I hope this helps.

ticking noise sounds like a small exhaust leak. Get under car and run your hand near where you hear it. That could be because of the recent exhaust work. A small leak sounds just like a tick in the engine

ticking noise

all noise is a 100% hands on deal.
no net bunny can do this. we can tell you to listen here and there
or use an electronic stethoscope, but in the end, its all 100% hands on.

if it makes noise in PARK , that is easy.
any mech. can find that. moving is 10x harder, and dangerous to find noises.

Some noises are just noises. If it runs and you have no problems, I'd leave it alone. I can hear my injectors ticking as they operate at idle.

Mobil oil won`t cause this problem however if the mechanical parts have just succumbed to metal fatigue or defect.the noise could be rocker arms, connecting rod noise or a failed piston.its hard to say without hearing the noise as it is to try and describe the noise.
