The beeping starts when you start the car then goes off for a while then starts again. It stops for about 40 - 50 klms then starts the sequences again and then goes off and after a while it starts again.

Hello! The fault is A defective Air Bag system...When you start the car and the Light does not come on, this particular beeping sequence is an indication that the light is out...Which means the the Air Bag system failed its start-up test....Saailer

I have a 2001 Mazda Tribute my first started up it

Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid is suspect, also is the Shift Control Solenoid (they are twin cylinder assembly looking like the old blinker solenoids) attached to the transmission, and with 2 wire pigtail. Check for a short~continuity between heater fan hot wire and the Shift Control System pigtail wires. Thank You for using Let us know if you still have a problem!

I have a 2001 Mazda Tribute V-6 and I cannot keep it running at idle. I have replaced the EGR Valve and a fuel filter. It seems to be idling too slow. Any suggestions?

Go to my profile and see my tips for help with this. All you need to do is pull the idle control valve, clean it and lube it. It takes about 5-10 minutes, and your car will start and run great!

I hear 5 warning beeps then a pause then 5 beeps again

Get the battery situated, and your beeps should go away. Sounds like an errant security horn from a sloppy connection. Interested to see what happens. TT

5 series' of 5 beeps in a row on start up

Check the Air Bag Indicator Light. When you turn the car on it should stay on for 6 seconds and then turn itself off. If a fault is detected in the system operation check, the indicator light will either fail to light, stay on continuously or flash. The flashing may not start until up to 30 seconds after the initial systems check.

If there is a fault in the system AND the air bag indicator light fails to light then an audible tone will alert you- it will be a set of 5 chimes (bells/beeps) five times in a row.

Have the Air Bag serviced and the indicator light bulb changed. Since the dash will be off in order to change the bulb, I would have all of the other dash lights changed at the same time. If one goes out, others will surely follow.

Good luck!

This problem is caused by burnt/worn contacts in the starter solenoid, it is a common issue on all Japanese designed gear reduction starters, they (the contacts) can be replaced, go to they have the parts, about $15, u will need a good set of auto skills to do this repair.
