This engines have very coming problem with the moisture or wather acumulated on the left bank on the passenger side of engine, some time they leak coolant and goes straight to plug, or if some one steam cleaned your engine that will be the proble too,
if nothisng of this then try by replacing spark plugs and wires

A rough engine idle can come from a variety of causes. During the winter months, cars may have a harder time starting and will shake when first turned on. This form of rough idle can easily be mistaken for other problems. Engine idle problems can also be attributed to malfunctioning components, such as spark plugs. Holes in the air intake valve can also cause a rough engine idle because of excessive amounts of air being drawn in.
The rough idle of an engine can signify a power loss in the car. This loss of power could lead to other problems, such as excessive gas consumption. This lack of power can also lead to additional wear on other parts of the car. Ignoring problems with the engine of can lead to a massive breakdown that will require you either to make costly repairs or replace the car entirely.
Have the engine computer scanned for trouble codes. Misfires are from loss of fuel, spark, or compression. Check the fuel pressure, check that all spark plugs are getting spark, and if all good so far, test engine compression. Low compression in a cylinder will cause misfires and loss of power.
It could also be a vacuum leak- a loose or cracked vacuum hose or an intake gasket leak.
The ck engine light should not be ignored, what sensor was shown to be bad ? Have it scanned again and replace the sensor that is bad if it still runs rough you might want to consider a tune up. Plugs, wires, fuel and air filter's and clean the throttle body with some gumout. It could also be the IAC motor Idle Air Control. Good Luck
Sounds like their is to much air getting to the engine. This is caused by an air leak in the vacume lines. Try replacing all the vacume lines on the engine.
If you have the vortec motor they are notorious for the fuel pressure regulator failing. Have the fuel pressure tested at the fuel rail. If it is below or at 56 the engine will have hesitation or rough odle and no power.
