sounds expensive, the smoke isnt black or anything, its white and does go after a minute.

white or light blue ,is either water or oil ,water is white like staem and light blue is oil so smell it if that sounds plausible .But it could just be condensation as its a big engine 4 ltre so it might throw out more condenation that say a fiat 500 or a mini .

The temperature gauge on my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee started running hot (about 3/4 up), as soon as I start moving (even when the car is cold). It comes down to normal (about 50% on the gauge) when I stop...

Change the sensor, but it will run hot like that if you are not moving fluids across it. It is basically measuring air temp for a minute. Could be a totally stuck thermostat. Change both. That cooling system is critical on a cherokee.

When starting from cold, white smoke not firing on all cylinders for about 10 seconds then run fine

White smoke usually means coolant is in the combustion chamber. It takes your Jeep about 10 seconds to burn it through. Probably have a bad head gasket or intake gasket. Have a Mechanic check it out.

2003 jeep grand cherokee heater problem

Jeep Grand Cherokee is notorious for broken blend-air doors. This is the door inside the A/C-heater housing that switches the air from hot to cold. You must remove the dash to repair it.

1996 jeep cherokee miss fires and white smoke from exhaust. replaced head gasket and still runs the same.. runs fine when cold.

White smoke is usually the sign of a blown headgasket. I would have the coolant system pressure tested before any serious damage is done.

Keep in mind this codes:
- Black is excessive fuel
- Blue is oil
- White is coolant

Then, if you see white smoke from the tailpipe, you have coolant escaping into the intake system.

Jeeps have a part called the crank sensor, when working properly it senses the electrical feild produced by flywheel. This crank sensor which is located on top of the tranny bell housing has been known to go bad. When this crank sensor goes bad the CPU does not get a crank reference and the computer will not fire the injectors. This crank sensor will fail under high temps and if it is old will fail also when cold.
You have to find out if the injectors are getting a pulse when the car does'nt start.
