Rotors are touching making the noise.. Could be bad bearings or clearances that are to tight. Rebuild or reset rotor clearances.. Uses shims to work the rotors in or out on the helical gears. Shims behind the gears.

Hi Dave

You asked a question that is impossible to answer due to the lack of details. To get good answers you have to ask great questions that are full of detail. The most important with vehicles is Year, Make Model. You just said

Have ch18 need blower part no chb18 - Cars & Trucks

If you said I have a 1969 Chevvy Camaro with the 7 litre supercharged engine, I need a CHB18 Blower for it. Any idea where I can get one? I can find you a supercharger AKA 'a blower'. In reality, you probably want a heater blower assembly.

You need to have a trained auto mechanic listen to this, nosies are very hard to diagnose without hearing them.

My 1999 pontiac grand prix gtp supercharger has been overheating and when i went to start it the next morning it is making a knocking nosie do you think the engine is blowen

You can check the oil to see if it has water in it if it does it will be milky looking and another thing you can check is the tail pipe and see if it is sucking back or has steam coming out of it.

My manual 5 speeds only makes bearing noise when at highway speeds . repairman says it is a bearing but i thought a throw out bearing only makes noise when pushed in ,

Are you sure hes not talking about a wheel bearing for your front wheels. A throwout bearing will sometimes make nosie like a rattleing if it is not engaged. When engaged it will sound like a roaring nosie. I would check in to were this nosie is coming from first.

The heaters only work when on setting 4 and i found out its due to a faulty blower resistor, where is the resistor located and how do you replace it on a Ford Focus 51 plate

In the dash, attached to the blower motor (follow the nosie of the blower when turned on... this will help you locate)
The resistor is a 4" long Green Ceramic part with pins coming off it.

Engine noise on 1995 Buick Riveria SC 3.8 L V6

remove the supercharger belt... check for play in the supercharger pulley... there is a plastic coupler that connects drive from the supercharger cone to the main body of the supercharger... these wear out ... it is a problem on both the series 1 (1995) and series 2 (96-99) supercharged 3800 engines

Makes a rattling nosie when I excelerate

if it rattles when you just rev it as well it could just be your tappets(rockers). put some oil clean solution in run it for about 10 mins @1500rpm then give it an oil change. easiest way to tell is hold a screwdriver to your ear and place tip on the rocker cover, you should hear the noise clearer.

1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Supercharger coupler

The rattle you are/were hearing is typical on the Eaton blowers. After they get some miles on them, the coupler wears out and the holes become ob-longed or out of round which causes the rattle you are hearing.
Usually at idle you can hear it very clearly.
I have changed a few, and they are pretty simple to change. Just take off the supercharger belt, then you may have to remove your alternator bracket, depends on which years, drain the supercharger oil with a spray bottle sprayer (it does stink badly) then just remove the 10 or so bolts that hold the snout to the housing. Remember to keep track of where they go, some are different lengths.
You may have to use a rubber mallet, or your hand to hit the snout around to break the gaskets loose. Pull off the old black hockey puck looking thing (coupler) clean out the snout, attach new coupler, then reassemble and put new supercharger oil back in, and your rattle will be gone, at least for another 100k miles.
Best place to get a coupler is at,

Costs about 30, plus the few bottles of oil for the supercharger.
