Agree with ilragatzzo78.
Sometimes the failing battery will damage the alternator, and they both unfortunately need changing at the same time (-if the tension belt was correct as previously commented on).
With a voltmeter and the car engine off the Volts across battery will read 12v. With engine running (be careful) the alternator should pump a further 2v -i.e. voltmeter reads 14volts across battery, if not then the alternator is definately failing.

Ehiter your battery is dying, or your alternatos is slipping.
try checking the tension on your belt, if is kinda loose maybe that's your problem.
if it's ok, then it may be your battery.

Procedure:
Read the blinking patterns of the DTCs. As examples, the blinking patterns for the normal system code and DTCs 11 and 31 are shown in the following diagram. The first blinking pattern indicates the first digit DTC. The second blinking pattern occurs after a 1.5-second pause. If there are two or more DTCs, there is a 2.5- second pause between each DTC. After all DTCs are shown, there is a 4.0-second pause, and they are all repeated.
HINT:
• If 2 or more malfunctions are found, the indication begins with the lowest numbered DTC.

Battery blinking

Hello!
Tighten the electrical connections on the alternator. Check to see if the alternator is good, although in rare cases a poor internal connection on the alternator can cause this, The cable that runs from your alternator to your battery ( EITHER END OF IT ) could be mostly broken...not all the way...just hanging by a few threads. Tighten your battery cables. Your car's 10 years old, check for a good ground connection from the battery at the frame of the car ( no rust ). Good Luck!

BATTERY LIGHT STARTED BLINKING 2 DAYS AGO AND NOW IS ON CONSTINTLY, BATTERY IS 8 MONTHS OLD, LIGHTS DO NOT DIM OR GET BRIGHTER WHEN GAS IS STEPPED ON ,CONNECTIONS ARE ALL TIGHT. ANY IDEAS WOULD HELP.

Is the fan belt tight? If so using an amp. meter, start engine & check by putting leads on neg. & pos. of battery. Reading should be higher than 13.2 if lower replace alternator. Good luck!

How can I get rid of the messages on my board....(ie. regular maintenance due)

1. Press and hold trip odometer reset button 2. Turn ignition key to run position KPII (not the start position)
3. Wait 30 seconds or until service light "!" begins blinking
4. Release Trip Odometer button
5. Turn ignition to off position
If that doesn't work try:
1. Press and hold trip odometer reset button
2. Turn ignition key to run position (not the start position)
3. Wait 30 seconds or until service light "!" begins blinking
4. Turn ignition to off position, the service light continues blinking
5. Release Trip Odometer button

should reset it for you

PROCEDURE
When the Check Engine warning light has been reported on, turn the ignition on, pull down the passenger's side carpet from under the dashboard and observe the LED on the top of the ECU. The LED indicates a system failure code by blinking frequency. The ECU LED can indicate any number of simultaneous component problems by blinking separate codes, one after another. Problem codes 1 through 9 are indicated by individual short blinks. Problem codes 10 through 43 are indicated by a series of long and short blinks. One long blink equals 10 short blinks. Add the long and short blinks together to determine the problem code.

Battery light blinking

The battery light shining means that your battery is not charging while you are driving, The light blinking means that the altenator(Component that Charges the battery) is faulty, It couls also be a sliping belt since the altenator is drivin by a V belt, Check the belt tensioner and if the problem persist have the altenator checked out.

Battery light

If the battery light is on while you are driving it means that the battery is not charging, The altenator(Component that charges the battery) might be faulty or it could be a sliping V - Belt since the altenator is drivin by a belt that runs from the crankshaft, the V-Belts also drive the Aircon and Power steering so make sure you check the tensioner for the altenator and if the problem persists have it checked.

Hazar warning light is blinking after changing battery

hi there do you know if there is an alarm fitted to this car and if so do you have the remote. if not you may have to get the alarm removed or put back into valet mode as this would have been how the alarm would have been set until the battery went flat and has now gone back to the default setting of the alarm.
