Forget easy. Easy, is when you have room to work on the water pump. Remove all things necessary to do the job. Take your time.
Good time to replace belts and free up alt, power steering, vac pump, etc, bolts and get them moving freely. Don't try to do less.Do more, and save time in the future, when your in there for something else.

Fan clutch is noisy on my 2003 Chev Blazer. how do i replace it?

The fan clutch is bolted to the water pump with four bolts, and the fan itself bolts to the clutch with four bolts. The easiest is to unbolt the fan clutch from the water pump since the fan may not clear the shroud. Once the four bolts are removed from the water pump the fan should drop down, and you should be able to wiggle it up and out. If not then remove the shroud which should have two bolts on each side. Remove the fan from the clutch, bolt the new clutch on, and do the reverse of removal. Depending on accessories you may have to remove the upper radiator hose but normally you can wiggle the unit out. Do not remove the pulley since this will only add extra work and frustration.

2002 chevy blazer. Trying to swap out the water

The new chevys are a pain. There should be alot of little nuts on the top of the shroud possibly under a small piece of weather stripping. There should also be 2 or 4 small bolts halfway down the shroud on both sides. Then there are 2 or 4 bolts on the bottom of the shroud. It should end up in two pieces with one piece coming out the top and one out the bottom. Removing the shroud most of the time is not necessary but it helps.

I need to change the water pump and I need to know the proper way to do it for a 1997 Chevy Blazer LS 4.3 litre.

First you need to drain down the coolant, secound take top of fan shrould off 2#10 bolts on each side, third loosen fan bolts, fourth take belt off, fifth take fan off, sixth unbolt anything that is bolted to water pump like power steering pump, maybe ac. pump heater hoses ect. last take 4 bolts out that hold water pump to block 2 on each side and thats it. Clean old gasgets off engine block and bolt on new pump with new gasgets witch will come with new pump. Put back to gether in reverse order.

I put on a new clutch fan and do not know how to reset it to the thermos stat

Clutch fans don`t need to set, they just screw onto the water pump, the heat from water pump travels into it to turn it on.

How to change a water pump?

You will need to remove the upper fan shroud, remove the fan clutch that is threaded onto the water pump it is easiest to get the tool for this or you can use a bar between two of the pulley bolts and use a cresent wrench on the big nut. After you remove the fan clutch there is the small hoses on the top of the water pump and the lower hose on the bottom of pump. Then there are only four bolts holding the pump to the motor. Reinstall in reverse order. Let me know if you need more help.
