I would check kick panel in left of passenger side floor board(pops off, some type of velcro).. Back of panel will have diagram of what fuses are for what. Panel should also have fuse puller attached to it. Good Luck!

check the fuse labeled PARK in the interior fuse block located on the passenger side of the center counsel.

you have a blown fuse, most saturns use the same fuse for tail and instrument lights.

96 saturn sl gauge and tail lamps not working


i had the same problem...make sure all the wires that were cut or unhooked are taped off and this should stop the blown fuses.

Check the box near the battery. There should be a 10 amp fuse marked "Park"

the park lamp, tail lamp fuse is located in the underhood fuse box the location of fuses in that box isprinted on the inside of the fuse box cover

there is one fuse that controls both the dash lghs and tail lights

1996 saturn sl1 3rd brake light goes on when headlights or parking lights are turned on what could cause this also when u step on brake pedal with car off chime rings


Have you recently replaced any bulbs? Did you use dual element bulbs. It sounds like the wrong bulbs were used and the brakes lights are backfeeding the tail light circuit.
