yes, but you can not use the belt for the no A/C option it is too short.

I just did mine & used DAYCO 5070900, I also had to trim down a bolt that holds the water pipe

no because you will need to install a idler pulley off a non air engine to make things work or you may be able to buy a belt for a non air dakota that wiill work on your dorango as they both have the same power trains

Can I bypass the ac compressor with a smaller serpentine belt?

I have a 1990 Olds 3.8 V6. Installed a 715k6 belt bypassing the frozen AC compressor using the stock belt routing. Working great.
Thanks for the above advice

Ac compressor clutch will not engage on my 98 yukon.

The most common cause of no clutch engagement is a low state of refrigerant charge in the system. Have a set of AC pressure gauges hooked up and bypass the compressor cycling switch and check the pressure on the low side charging port, you show shop 28-32 PSI at idle.

Can i bypass the ac compressor on my 1992 dodge dakota 5.2l with a shorter belt from one without ac

I have a 92 Dakota with a 5.2 (318) 4x4, automatic trans. You can simply remove the ac compressor and go with a belt a bit longer then what stock non AC calls for. The idler pulley is in a slightly different location from AC to no AC engines so just getting the non AC belt won't work. I used a 5070900 / 7PK2285 for mine and it worked fine. Just a touch tight getting on. Next time I'll probably go 1/2 inch longer so a 5070905. I'm a licensed tech with 20 years in the trade in Canada, 4 years of that with a Dodge dealer.

Go to your local parts store. Ask them for a AC bypass pully. You will remove your AC pump and replace it with the pully and bracket. hope this helps.

Can I bypass the AC compressor by buying a serpentine belt for a 1999 Dakota 3.9 w/o AC? The compressor is noisy(bearing?) and the system already had a leak.

the one without ac has an ac delete pulley that sits where the ac pump would go, so the answer is no, buy the pulley.
