I have a 1995 oldsmobile 88 royale and it is knocking loud and losing oil pressure. I was using alot of trans oil but now it is worse.. what can I do and how can I repair it.

You may want to find a lightly used replacement engine and transmission. It sounds to me like you have a connecting rod bering going or gone.

1995 Oldsmobile 88 LSS 3.8 smokes at idle

Valve stem seals. Oil is thicker when cold (hence no smoke when cold) Vlave stem symptoms are when engine at idle (high vacume) oil is pulled through the guide seals, when you take off from lights get bit of smoke until oil is burnt. Ring symtoms is it would be blowing smoke all the time especially at higher rpm for extended time ie: driveing. Have you thought of trying a thicker oil? what oil grade do you currently run?

None. Sometimes the attaching bolt goes into the oil gallery. Make sure you use a thread sealer on that bolt.

How do I remove oil pump pulley to replace the water pump?

If you mean the power steering pump, it will have to be removed to access the bolt. It's just 2 bolts. You get them through the holes in the power steering pump. Just unbolt it and push it aside.
