If you do not have the original key, you can take the vin number and proof of ownership and the dealer should be able to help you. If not you will have to have it towed to a chevy dealer. The chips can be read, but if you do not have the chip they they have to determine what chip the car us using.

has oil and not frozen.
then how is the engine locking up.
maybe someone did spark plug wires and installed then with the wrong firing order.
causing the wrong cylinder to fire at the wrong time causing the piston to stop.

they are both located on the front of the engine along the fuel rail they are plug in to black hard lines and the bolt on to the intake

SOURCE: where is shift solenoid located
The transaxle shift solenoids are located in the transaxle.
