Its inside the connection where the suction hose connects to the evaporator. You must release all the freon out before you open the hose or you'll get a face full of compressor oil.

2004 GMC Envoy 4.2 liter 4wd. How difficult is it to remove and replace the engine oil pump?


Pump replacement is fairly involved, but the issue is rarely the pump, as it is pretty indestructable. If you have low pressure, usually some clearances are too loose, somewhere. There is also sending unit issues, so measure your pressure with an external "known good" gauge.

My 2004 envoy had a light come on that said reducing engine power and then the oil pressure dropped and die but it started back up and everything was fine then it did it again the next day what is the...


Your engine oil pump could be going bad and when your oil pressure drops your engine computer puts the car into a (Limp Mode) so you can safely find a place to pull over to prevent any permanent engine damage. Have your oil pump checked and replaced if necessary.

the secondary airpump is located next to frame, approx. beneath drivers feet. you will see hoses to the air pump.
