Two choices.....one is an airlock(undo highest hot hose clip to vent) and the other is a blocked radiator.......

Testimonial: "you mean the hose above the coolant bottle"

My 97 lumina keeps over heating i changed the water pump thermastat and radiator cap and bled the system of all the air only water comes out when i losen the screw on the top hose next to the thermastat...

It could still have air in the system, or a leaking head gasket is putting cylinder compression into the cooling system. You can have engine compression leaking into the radiator without having coolant in the engine cylinders.

With a over heating problem the first place you always check is the thermastat.Thermastats ALWAYS go.
In fact every two years I change the thermastat wether or not it needs it just to be safe than sorry,I live in a snow belt and nothing worst than having no heat in the winter.
Something else you might keep in mind, over heating can do allot of damage most people don't consider, the transmission lines are connected to the radiator which cool the transmission

TRUCK OVER HEATS

Could be a problem with the radiator its self, or you have a blockage in the hose coming from the radiator to the thermastat. You might also check the hose from the radiator to the water pump or the water pump its self.

Have you changed the water pump or just the hoses? Some water pumps had plastic impellers and were known to break.
