Question about Mazda Protege
Check your brake fluid level, if low, fill to level, if OK, check the status of the brake pads, the may be worn out. On the back of the wheel rotor where the brake pads go, there is a device with an electrical plug, that's the VSS Vehicle Speed Sensor, make sure they are all connected and the wiring is not damaged. Repair as necessary.
If the lights are still on, have vehicle's computer scanned for Trouble Codes. AutoZone, Checkers among other auto parts stores, have this service available at to cost for their customers, you'll get a print out of the codes and their description.
The reason I suggest you do the code scanning at last, is that some times when the above mentioned items are not within specs. The computer can give you a code, that certain part failed, you replace the part and the problem still persists.
Keep me posted!!

Sound like an electrical wire that's faulty or the braking computer itself. The only way is to scan it and it more than likely one of your rear sensors.
This is most likely the problem. Any work there in the wheels could touch rear sensor, I suggtes take it apart again just to check the alignment of the sensor as well as cleaning it.
Keep us updated.
