The idle control, ie, the air and fuel jets have to readjusted so that the idling speed increases a little and then the bike will not stall/cut.

If you adjust the choke then you will burn more fuel. While if you adjust the idling jets on the carb then it would be correct air and petrol mixture that will go into the cylinder.

You need to rebuild the carburetor or clean the choke linkage and make sure the choke valve closes cold.

Twin hs2 su carb linkage diagram

YOU dont need a diagram for twin carbys as put them on the manifold back off all throttle linkage and adjustment screws make sure thay are all down, and turn both screws down till they touch, now back off the jets nuts under the carbys and then undo them 2 turns only[thats the ones the choke move up and down] now HB on out of gear a little choke start engine adjust 2 screws 1 more turn each and choke in
make sure you have very thin oil in pistons, then when running adjust jets 1flat at a time when it runs smooth lock up the linkage and adjust screws till idle at 600 RPM.

Engine idels at 3000 rpm after replacing carb and vacuume lines with new parts.

There should be an idle speed adjustment screw near where the throttle linkage connects to the carburetor. Turn it CCW a number of turns until the speed drops down. Make sure the choke has completely released before making this adjustment. Hope this helps!

1985 Nissan 720 ext. cab pickup problem

You need to adjust the automatic choke. Your choke may not be opening fully. There is a fast idle cam linked to the choke to keep the throttle open more until the engine is warm. The idle mixture screw is part 37 in the picture, but get the choke adjusted right first, and you may not have to adjust the mixture screw. See adjustment procedures at link beloe.

START VEHICLE, IDLES AT ABOUT 600REVS, IF LEFT SITTING AT IDLE IT JUST GETS FASTER AND FASTER AND WILL REV TO 2000+ REVS CHECKED LINKAGES AND LUBED

Sounds like a engine warming up and the choke opening without being allow thh reset the linkage. When it does that, tap the throttle and see if it drops to proper idle. choke may need adjustment for standing warm up. good luck
