There are a few things that happen most often on these vehicles. Air suspension compressor failure,A/S relay and a small coupler under the master cyl breaks. Listen to see if the compressor runs if it does check the air line coupler under the M/C to see if its broken,if not it,its possible the compressor motor is ok but the cylinder is worn and not producing pressure, you can check this by removing the air line on the compressor and checking the airflow out of the line(it should be significant). If it is it could have a leaking air bag also

The air suspension module with a combination of ride height fault (sensor) The only way to troubleshoot this is with a scan tool with a jaguar software, even if you replace the ride height module it may have to be flashed

The compressor for the air ride stopped working, went to junkyard biught another however, still nothing. does something need to be reset or am I forced to pay $600.00 for a new one?

I would use a test light to see if the air ride compressor is even getting current. If it isn't, then the module for the air ride control may be bad, or the height level sensor at the back axle needs to be checked for being damaged physically, or, that it is functioning correctly according to your test light.

I wouldn't buy a new one for $600.00 unless it's determined that it is burnt out.

If it's not possible for you to test these items easily, then maybe take it to an auto electric shop to diagnose the problem for you.

Good luck on this electrical ride height repair problem.

I need a diagram of the air ride suspension on a 1997 ford expedition

the best thing for you to do is stop by your local ford dealership in the parts department and they be able to print you off the pictures and diagrams you need because i look in my 1997 to-2003 Expedition Haynes auto repair manual and there is nothing on the air ride so stop by your Ford dealership and you be able to get it wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.

I have a 95 Lincoln Continental, the back end was way too high so I released the air in the bags. Now the only problem is that the pump can't lift up the car. Is there any ways to get air into the system...

located on the air suspension pump, there is a air fitting on top which you can inflate with an air hose, start the car and when the pump comes on, add air......it should stop pumping when the ride height sensor gets to the adjusted height....hope this helps....GL

2003 NAVIGATOR AIR RIDE STOPPED WORKING,PUMP CHECKED OK.

The navi has leveling sensors on both axles that are switches and are adjustable. Most likely these are out of calibration. DO NOT attempt to move or adjust these with the vehicle on jack stands. Vehicle could shift and fall resulting in serious injury.

1997 Lincoln Continental Suspension Conversion Problem

It could be a wheel speed sensor that went out or something... When working with the wiring, something could have just gotten crossed or tapped to get these codes as well. The compressor shouldnt be running anymore if everything was tied off properly. Take it in somewhere and have the codes cleared and that should fix the problem hopefully. I know AutoZone has a reader, but I do not know if they have they ability to clear the codes.
I hope this helps.

Air ride not working

Is there power at the compressor? If not, check the level switch located at the rear of the vehicle (connects the rear axle to the body via a small arm that moves with body up/down motion)
