I have brake fluid leaking near my right front tire. Any thoughts?

Yes, I have thoughts, stop driving the car immediately, as you risk loss of braking power... Usually leaks like you describe are either the brake hose or the brake caliper. Replace both sides on whatever you find.

Engi lite flashes 16 times thought this service

depending on the year of this car, a flashing check engine light means a misfire, this may be due to a bad spark plug or the wires to plugs, you can go to any autopart store and they will scan the computer and give you an idea of the problem and give you the codes, what happens is the computer sees a problem and it turns the light on to warn you of the problem , it then stores a code, this code will tell you what part of the system is failing or failed. if you can give me the year ,make and model with the codes the autopart store gives you i can help you further, hope this is helpful. good luck.

2001 Escape 3.0 L "suddenly"

go to autozone for a free code readout.

I suspect you are going to get misfire codes. You need to fix ASAP as misfire will ruin your cats which are part of teh manifolds which means abotu $1000 for both.
I think you are going to have to replace all plugs and COPS, coils on plugs. Or at least on the misfring cylinders.

The danger here also is that a shorted COP will take out your PCM, engine computer.

Report back codes and progress.

If you can go to Autozone they will scan the codes for free and let you know what the problem is :) Without knowing what the code is this could be a lot of things.

'98 subaru legacy-lights dimmed then brightened repeatedly, along with instrument panel, eventually power decreased...any thoughts? Alternator?

yes my first thought was alternator but to be sure you should take it to a major auto parts store and they have those diagnostic testers and they can scan your codes and see if thier is any problems that is the most accurate way of knowing. I believe this service is free as well. Hope this help thanks and good day
