My mazda eunos will not rev over 2500rpm. And when I rev it over that the revs go up but straight back down again. Eg spluttering. But badly. I have changed the feul filter as it seemed it was being starved of feul that didn't work. Then I changes the air flow meter. And that has not worked. Am wondering if it could be the injectors??

I suggest you check the fuel pressures and delivery volume before you replace any more unnecessary parts...

Don't spend money until you know what is wrong and that shouldn't be guessed but discovered by careful and systematic checking.

In addition check the plugs and spark power and quality

Is the engine light on? Check the air inlet hose between the throttle body & MAF sensor for cracks or leaks. Try unplugging the MAF & see if there is any difference

Rebuilt gearbox probably... unfortunately!
If the HOLD light in the in strument cluster is flashing at you, it is giving you a transmission diagnostic code (like a kind of Morse Code). A transmission specialist or a Mazda Dealer will be able to read this code and plug their computer into the cars computer, and tell you what is wrong.

My mazda drifter 2.5 D don't rev over 3000 rpm and don't go over 120 km when its in 5th gear, its like limiting pulling back. What can it be it never did it?I use to push it 160 km @ 5000 rpm before

So it did rev higher and go faster before i see. 160kph equates to almost 100 mph!!! In that truck?? You nuts!! I put my Mazda Millenia supercharged V6 to 140mph in Nevada but that was on straight roads with no curves in site for miles ahead. Haha. Ask again if this is a diesel motor in truck. That sounds like getting close to limit of capacity of engine but if more was expected and received before then would look at an exhaust restriction first. Do you have catalytic converters on the truck?

I have a 1989 Mazda 323, when cold engine idles very high, when very cold it idles so high that rev limiter kicks in, and it revs up, limiter kicks in, revs up limiter kicks in, once it warms up idle drops...

Have it looked at by a dealer, iam not sure here but i think you have a vacumn leak like the feed pipe to the servo split but really you need a mechanic who works on these cars day in day out and they will go straight too the problem for you

I have a 2003 mazda rx8 its a manuel anyway il be driving in 5th gear and il put my foot down and the rev needle will shoot up and then drop back down while my speed

Yes it is the clutch slipping, in high gear the greatest load is put on the clutch so that is when they slip the most.

2002 turbo diesel mazda bravo starts and runs fine but will not rev past 2500rpm it blows out a heap of smoke and will rev no further

diesels are not known to be high revving engines to begin with, anyways, it sounds like your turbo is malfunctioning, get it inspected or repaired

'97 540i spluttering & cutting out

best bet is to go get any codes that may be stored in the PCM. This will take alot of the guess work out of diagnosing it. Or remove the spark plgs and replace them.. If you have 50,000 or more this could be the cause but a code may tell you which one is the issue

Hi we have a Mazda Eunos 800M 1994 vehicle how do u clear fault codes as we do it by the book way but the codes are still there. Plus if you drive the car for 5 - 10 minutes they rev limiter kicks in and...

if you look under the hood there is a fuse box that will have a large fuse that is labeled btn. what you need to do is pull this fuse and then hold the brake pedal for about a minute. we call this fuse the back to normal fuse because when you do this it will clear every thing in the memory and put it back to normal operating specs

Idle problems

i don't know, but i'm pretty sure there is a throttle position sensor of sorts on there. that sounds like the reason. as far as that and your check engine light, go to autozone or advance auto and get them to check it for free. or go to your local garage and have them read it (may cost you, may not). if you go to one for free be prepared, take a pen and paper to write down whatever the codes are. this way you can have the info for your mechanic or you can fix yourself.
