Sounds like maybe your alternator's going
Get to an auto parts store and have them check your alternator and battery usually for free....Advanced Auto Parts does this for me free.

If you have drum brakes in back instead of disc brakes, that could be your problem. Very common noise with drums. Pads, springs, could be sticking, or pistons if it is disc brakes

is your mazda auto or stick vehical well not start in gear if it is automatice check shifter cable if stick shift forks might be stuck
