Look if the engine is doing what you say then it is overheating and there is no problem with the sensor, remember the sensor only tells what is going on, it does not cause anything like overheating. Have you bled the system of air, there is a factory procedure to do this.

Hello. The most likely cause of your problem is that the heater/AC relay is on it's last legs. This easy to change. Go to any auto parts store to obtain the part, and ask them to show you where it is located [under the dash]. Then just unplug the old and plug in the new. There is no way to adjust the timing on your car....if you suspect or have verified that the timing is off, then either something is wrong with the computer, or something has gone wrong mechanically. Fixing a timing issue is not a job advise of the at home mechanic as the Northstar engine is very complex and requires many specialized tools for its repairs.
