Fog solution in My gas tank

Okay, mine isn't a hybrid though just to clarify. But a few of my friends thought that it would be a funny joke to put some fog solution in my gas tank. Maybe .5-1 liter. so that when I started up it would blow white smoke, I read the ingredients on the bottle and it says its a mixture of water and glycerin. My question is, is this "Joke" going to cause engine problems, or am I just blowing smoke. (Pun Intended)

If the solution is specifically made for prank it want have a severe adverse effect. However if it's just home made combo, as suggested above you will need to get it cleaned, either yourself or going to garage.

Well, it will cause sludge in your fuel system, you will have to have it clean before it fails on you.

I suspect my brother may of put something in my gas tank to contaminate it. My car not running good cuts out and chatters i recently before this changed my fuel filter, new plugs . thankyou

Sugar in the gas tank is an old trick used against enemies (for retribution) or friends (as a lousy practical joke). If that's what has been done, you'll have to have the tank drained and flushed and the rest of the fuel system flushed. Very expensive job. Good luck.

Hi Angie,
I don't want to be too harsh, but you need to stop randomly replacing parts and stop putting chemicals in your fuel tank.
I have been in the auto repair business for over 36 years and that garbage that they sell at the parts stores have never fixed a drivability problem that I have ever seen. Those things are only stuff that "snake-oil salesmen" use to part desperate people from their hard-earned cash. There is no such thing as "mechanic in a can".

A seasoned, well trained, automotive repair technician with a few years of experience, can scan your engine computer, look at the data when the engine is running poorly, and give you a pretty good idea of what is causing your problem....This is what is called DIAGNOSTICS. You can spend a fortune and loose a lot of hair over trying to "guess" what the problem is.

My 1989 buick park avenue keeps dying. a friend ran a test on it and it said the fuel pump was the problem, but the fuel pump fuse keeps bowing too... Would this be a short somewhere or the fuel pump...

My first thought is that you have wires shorting out somewhere, probably right above the gas tank. Either way, you're going to have to pull the gas tank off to find it. Usually, when a fuel pump dies, it just doesn't work, and won't normally blow a fuse. Pull the tank down, inspect the wiring, and change the fuel pump if the wires check out okay.

Keep on the Service Dept. I had 9 CEL issues in 13 days, they have done everything from replace gas cap(pin hole puncture), 5 software updates and 4 NLVD valves replacement.Purge valve replaced, fan resistor replaced and make sure that battery post is check( campaign) Phone service dept and give them your VIN # and ask if there is any campaigns outstanding, if there are any just keep on taking the hybrid back. Just to let you know with the software updates you will notice a drop in mileage, as I am avg 525 km, but getting better. What is your mileage/tank and avgL/100km ( mpg/100miles) if you don't mind mentioning.

Some one played a bad joke on me they put antifrezee in my gas tank and what to do to get out

Take to a garage and you will soon find out that "bad joke" is the wrong name for this. All gas must be removed and gas tank dropped and cleaned. you can only hope that that will fix it. Fuel pump, line and injectors may also need attention.

95 Isuzu trooper heitates or rpms drop off after driving about 15 miles or so.If I shut off engine and restart it runs another 10-15 miles and drops off again.

I'm having similar problem with mine, and I think it's possible I got some bad gas. Maybe from an old backwoods gas station2.gifwith condensation in their tanks, or maybe condensation as mine hadbeen sitting for weeks at a time recently. I may try to completelydrain every bit of gas, and change the fuel filter, and throw some fueltreatment in when I put new gas in. Gonna check a few other thingsfirst, though.
