How do you replace ign lock cylinder on a 2003 jaguar x type if the key wont go in the cylinder

You may have to resort to the dealer or a locksmith authorized to work on Jags. Removal of the ignition cylinder requires the use of the key to enable you to rotate the cylinder for removal from the housing. This is a safety/ anti theft feature built into the design.

How do you remove key switch from 1997 gmc jimmy with 4 WD?

are you talking about the key cylinder or the ign switch. To remove the cylinder or the ign switch you need to remove the covers around the steering wheel. The switch is bolted in with to e8 torx. The cylinder is removed after you remove the covers buy putting the truck into drive with the engine off. Then turn the key to crank(will not crank because in drive) and there is a small hole above the cylinder. Using a small pick paper clip you push it in the hole. That releases the cylinder.

Turn signal dont work but the emerg. flashers do is it the mfs.

Time to pull the MFs and test it. The problem could be with the arm on the MFS, not closing the contacts for the turn signals for some reason ( where the hazard button is working ).

Pull the steering wheel cover ( 3 screws from the bottom ), and pull the ign cylinder.
To pull the ign cylinder, insert the key, and turn to the run position ( do not start ).
From the bottom there are 4 holes, 3 of them had screws in them, the hole closest to the ign switch is where you insert a small punch, and release the locking tab. This will allow the cylinder to pull out of the steering wheel column.
One you have the bottom off, and the ign cylinder out, the top cover will come off easier ( don't have to worry about breaking it ).

The MFs is removed from the top. On the MFS are 2 connectors, here is the connector layout, and the test for the turn signals ( use a meter set to ohms or continuity ). Watch the connector you are testing with, you want to be on C202a

Do i to remove my steering wheel to replace my ignition switch

just remove the top and bottom plastic steering colume covers that wrap around the ign lock cylinder. than you will see from the bottom of the barrel where the lock cylinder slides in there should be a 1/8 brass pin in a small hole .. you have to push in this pin while turning the key switch foward, than just slide out the lock cylinder key and all. reinstall is just as simple , slide in the lock cylinder and just remove the key. you should not have to remove the steering wheel at all...
good luck chris
