You can buy the replacement pigtail connector at the auto parts store the connector plugs on the back of the bulb inside the tube on the back side of the headlight box you remove the rubber dust cover and pull the old connector off the bulb plug in the connector on the pigtail and splice the wires to the old headlight wires all of this is done outside the headlight box there is no need to remove the headlight box.

Why do my headlight burns out often

My personal experience the headlights burn out frequently because it's a Hyundai. I have a 2005 Elantra (105K) and a 2007 Santa Fe (135K), and I have replaced headlights in both of those cars more than all of the 20+ other cars I have owned in my lifetime. I never touch a new bulb when replacing them, the sockets are all fine, they're just Hyundais and electric/wiring reliability is not in their capabilities. I keep a spare set of headlights in each of the cars. It's so bad that the cashier at the parts store asked me about 5 years ago if I had a Hyundai. She had the same problem with her Elantra.

2000 GRAND CARAVAN: Extremely dim headlights, because headlights are so narrow. Installed 9007SU Silverstar Ultra bulbs 3 years ago. Age 77 so poor night vision + still DIM headlights is BAD at night! ...

The silverstar bulbs while brighter, have a considerably shorter life span than conventional bulbs. If the headlights are dim, it would mean a bad electrical connection most commonly a bad ground. If they are just too dim for your liking and burn at the normal brightness, you might want to consider having auxilliary headlamps installed.

Left low beam lamp is intermittent. Replaced bulb. How hard to replace pigtail?

if by pigtail i assume you mean the bulb wiring then not difficult unless its wiring block connector ,lots of modern vehicles have a multiplug that connects to the headlight then from the back of of that the wires run inside the headlight unit ,and i suspect that this multiplug connection is dirty or loose in some way ,if all else fails pick up the low beam feed wire and cut it from multiplug and run it direct to the low beam connection on the back of the bulb

Replaced headlight twice and it keeps blowing out

Check to make sure cable (to light) isn't chaffe and shorting out, look for small cuts and places where wires may be rubbing against metal.. Also when changing halogen lights DO NOT touch glass on bulb with hands. As stupid as it sounds, the oil from your skin forms hot spots on bulb glass and makes premature burn out
