Question about 2001 Saturn SC
The sensor lights are to alert you to a problem, they are not the problem itself. Look in your manual, there will be an explanation of what light indicates what type of issue. If the alternator light is on, then you could have been driving around on your battery, depleting its charge, and now it won't start. If the oil light is on, you could have been driving around with no lubrication and the engine is frozen. If the coolant system light is on the engine could likewise be cooked from being run too hot. The time to pay attention and visit a shop is when the light first appears.
