Is it easy to change the shock absorbers on a renault megane

work it manually and it should work ...ie put the key in the door and open and lock the door 3 times slowly then jump in and try to start within 15 secs .if it doesnt work then be prepared to be fleeced and lay the golden egg at the dealers

Either the replacement sensor the windscreen technician should have fitted isnt connected properly to the glass or it has developed an intermittant fault - quite common with Renaults especially megane scenics and grand scenics....

If you own a set of acetyline torches you will cut your time by 75%. You need to remove the four nuts at the rearmost end of each bumper shock. Heating these very carefully as not to overheat the shock will aid in the ease of removal. Remove the wiring harness for the lights. Installation is just the reverse. Thanks, Dana.

Renault megan scenic 1.6 auto 1998 .start up drive ,does not change gear ,stop when warm restart drives ok ?
This sounds like you have a pressure fault, these gearboxes suffer from pressure solonoid failure, take the car to your dealer and have it scanned, this will show the fault, it is not an expensive job, but if left it can turn into one.
