I went to Auto Zone to get it troubleshooting and a code P0450 came up it also states evaporative emission control system pressure sensor/switch and probable cause a Faulty pump module. Do I just get the pump module replace or could it be something else?

P0450 has to do with the EVAP emissions system, specifically it is a code for the vapor pressure sensor not reading correctly. It could be the charcoal canister, the pressure sensor, a bad VSV, or a bad vacuum line. There are literally several pages worth of diagnostic information to help trouble shoot this code. This is not a do it yourself friendly deal.

If I remeber correctly there was a recall on the charcoal canister but your out of the mileage warranty. I do know that if everything checks out and a problem cannot be found than your suppose to look at the number on the computer it may need to be replaced if it matches the numbers that have been updated to resolve this issue.

It could eventually become a pump problem that is triggering this ... so , yes... you could eventually end up replacing the pump too.

You need to stop at one of the part stores that offers to read the code for free and will tell you what the code means. Auto Zone, Advance Auto are two I know of, Pep Boys in some locations will as well.

Take it to Auto Zone for a free engine code reading. They'll be able to tell you exactly why it's on. Sometimes it's even because your fuel cap isn't on all the way.

If it is a 97, go to the nearest Auto Zone. As long as the engine warning light is on, they will hook it up to their diagnostic computer and read the codes, telling you what is wrong.

My 2007 Toyota Camry just hit 45,000 miles and my check engine light came on. Would regular maintenace needed cause the light to come on? What should I / could I expect when I take it in?

I do believe there is a difference between a maintenance light and a check engine light. You can take your vehicle to most parts suppliers (auto zone, pep boys) and they will check your computer codes for free.
