Believe my crankshaft sensor is bad on my 92' bonneville sse...Where is it? and how do i go about ifxing it myself

CRANKSHAFT SENSOR IS BEHIND CRANKSHAFT PULLEY.YOU WILL NEED A HARMONIC BALANCER REMOVAL TOOL TO REMOVE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY DAMPER.

I am trying to locate the crankshaft sensor on a 92 pontiac bonneville se


It is by the crankshaft pulley.It is behind the pulley and you have to remove the pulley to replace it.There is a special tool for installing the new one.If you look through the pulley you should be able to see it.Hope this helps.Good luck.

My 1994 Bonneville is hard starting and the gas pedal must be pumped continually to keep it running. the rpm's will drop or raise 1000 rpm or just shut off. I cannot drive as is. I have cleaned the...


Try cleaning off the two wires that stretch across the inside of the mass air flow sensor, using a q-tip and carb cleaner (carefully). If that does not help, check the map sensor. Either one can cause changes in fuel mixture.

Locating the crankshaft sensor


The crankshaft sensor is a sensor that is on the front of the motor. If you look at the front of the motor look around the bottom pully there should be a sensor behind that pully.
