You can also remove the daytime running light fuse in the side panel of the dash.

I put on the emergency brake, turned off the lights and the daytime running lights went out.

Dome override switch, press it two or three times in a row fast and they will go off. answer above is wrong, all head lights go off if the parking brake is engaged and truck is started.

You didn't say whether it is automatic or manual! If manual: check the linkages to the transmission, check that the clutch is working...
If automatic: Check that the transmission fluid is clean and at the correct level, check the linkages from the shift lever, check that the pressures are OK in the transmission, check that the torque converter is not ceased up...

  • Insert your key into the ignition, and turn it to position "A" (Run/On) without cranking the engine.

  • Depress the gas pedal three times within five seconds. The "Change Oil" message will begin to flash.
  • Turn the ignition to position "A" (Lock/Off) once the light stops flashing (about 10 seconds).

    You have a bad ground. Ground is in the back wiring harness and goes to frame rail.

    P0420 & P0430 codes 99 silverado

    codes p0420 and p0430 are both post o2 sensors, the ones after the convertor, both sides if replacing

    1999 Silverado 4x4 won't shift between 4auto, 2wd, and 4wd.
