bars treatment is for a temporary fix and like everything temporary it will fail when you want it most. Holes in the cooling system no matter how small will stop the pressure build up that raises the boiling point of water . Water under pressure takes in more heat so the engine runs cooler That is why you have a pressure rated radiator cap. I would recommend a compression test to check for head gasket problem. Have a flow test done on the radiator to check for blocked cores. make sure that there is not an air lock in the cooling system

Over heat n due to non circulation of coolant into radeator

You may have a leaking engine head gasket or a clogged radiator. Do not drive this until the problem is repaired or you will do serious damage to the engine.

Have your coolant system flushed then if the problem still exists then replace the heater core because it is clogged.

My malibu 03 heats up could the radiator be clogged? i changed the spark plugs plus the water pump, the upper hose and the bottom hose, and the thermostat i dont think there are leaks in the coolant tank,...

You may have air trapped in the system. Air can get sucked into the system if you have a loose hose or a bad seal on the radiator cap or the over fill tanks cap. Try to see if your vehicle has any bleeder valves. Should be at the highest point in the cooling system where the air gets trapped.

No heat in cab.

You did not BLEED the radiator and it's over heating.

Take off radiator cap when engine is COLD

Start engine

Let it idle until it's HOT

As it heats up you will notice air bubbles coming out of the radiator filler neck.

Let car run until you don't see any more bubbles

Fill radiator coolant to keep it topped up to the hot mark.

Put radiator cap back on once you hear the fans kick on.

Done

You should now have tons of heat

Providing your water pump is working

check fan fuses and relays. is the idiot light coming on . stop engin temp. if its coming on unplug it . its located behind the rear valve cover in the middle. if that isnt it replace temp sensor. located below the air breather.

You may have a weak water pump or the coolant bottle hose may be clogged. Dexcool is notorious for clogging when exposed to air.

99 grand am gt overheating changed thermostat and

try priming the engine block & radiator with water though the hose's & any hose you can squeeze to pump out the air lock with the filler cap off when running, sounds too much air is is in the system & the pump won't work dry.
I had this problem a few times & I ended up practically forcing water into any hose I could re-attach quickly using a garden hose, as the heating system need's priming too !

Water not circulating,we put on radeator cap water pump ,intake gasket, flush heater core, engine radeator, reservoir

check to make sure the bottom radiator hose is not collapsing. sticking together. once it sucks together its like the thermostat being closed. the faster the engine turns the it sucks together. also make sure its not the clutch on the fan gone bad. if it has one. to ckeck ,look under hood at fan ,have someone to rev engine. make sure the fan turns as fast as the engine turns . if it doesn't it's a bad fan clutch. goe put a new one on.
