1st you need to disconnect the battery cables. Then you will have to locate the battery hold down.Once you find it remove it then you should be able lift out the battery. Hope this helps

Drain approximately two-thirds of the brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir. Lift the rear of the Pontiac Grand Prix off the ground with a car jack. Drl location 2006 grand prix

Pont Grand Prix; has 16 pin DRL module, fuse removes DRLs and Auto-ON (there is also a fuse for air bags, SRS)
believe most recent GM models (99+), use a VCR tape sized DRL module that will be under the dash, behind radio, glove box, over pedals, etc are typical locations for your car in various years.. There are two 8 pin connectors to it

The key fob for my 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix will not work. I have checked the battery & that is not the problem. Is there a program to reset the key fob?

The key fobs stop working because the solder joints that hold the battery in place break free. Very easy to fix with a little solder and a soldering iron. I just fixed a bunch of them for people I know including BOTH of the fobs for our 2006 GP GT. Takes about 5 minutes each.
