Horn relay

my guess, its a dead horn? both dead?
no actual question asked????????
the fuse is blow? in fuse box, eng. bay box.?
if no power to horn, (voltmeter)
we check power in and out of relay if there is one.
then at the horn button wire, (air bags can kill any mech. defeat them
first if heck bent to fiddly steering column parts in any why)
all this info is convered in in the FSM, get one. or login to alldata dot come. and read it.
here, ill look at yours. now.... a fast look.
ok 2 horns, hi/lo, and 1 relay in the under hood fuse box.
it should be labeled in the box, HORN
the relay can not work if the fuse is blown
or the horn enable line is dead. button.
the button grounds (0v) the relay via wire color lt.green-blu pin a11 on relay. if the a11 is at 12v the fuse is good.
if you push the horn button this A11 goes from 12v to 0v, and the relay energizes (click) and the horns both blow.
if no power makes it to the horns, the relay is bad no 12v
if by chance the relay output to horns go to 12v, then the horns are both dead.

My 2001chrysler town and country van horn does not work

Check the horn relay to see if it works. Most cars use the same relays for multiple other functions. Check the part number on the horn relay and find another relay that is working that has the same part number. Swap out the horn relay with the known good relay. If that doesn't work, check all the wiring in association with the horn. If all the wiring is sound, then it is probably the horn itself, but that is very rarely the case.

Horn dont work need location of horn relay fuse fuse for horn

I don't see a fuse for the horn but I can tell you the horn relay is located in the power distribution box located under the hood of the car in the engine compartment on the drivers side of the vehicle. Below is a diagram of the fuse layout. The horn relay is the one marked "R6". This should be in your owners manual if you have one. If you don't and would like a copy, you can email me at csautomotivecars@att.net with your make, model and year and I will be happy to email you a copy. No worries, no cost for it. I hope this helps and good luck.

What number is for the horn

The fuse for the horn as well as for the power to the horn relay is located in the power distribution box (a fancy name for a fuse box) located under the hood of the car in the engine compartment. The fuse will be in the number 4 position and should be a 25 amp fuse (see picture of fuse layout below). Now in that same panel is the horn relay itself that you made need to check. that relay is in the number 205 position. this should be in your owners manual if you have one. If you do not and would like a copy, you can email me at csautomotivecars@att.net with your make, model and year and I will be happy to email you a copy. don't worry no cost. I hope this helps you and good luck.

Which is the horn relay

The horn relay is located in the front power distribution box located in the engine compartment (see picture below). The relay is located in the "relay 06" position (see picture of layout below). Now there is also a fuse for the horn just to let you know and that fuse is in the number 4 position in that same box. This should be in your owners manual if you have one. If you don't and would like a copy, you can email me at csautomotivecars@att.net with your make, model, year and what you are needing and I will be happy to email you a copy. Everyone asks me how much....Nothing. Anyway i hope this helps and good luck.

I can not find horn fuse or relay

The first thing is to check the fuse and if thats sokay then check the horns they may be bad, if you use a testlight and have someone push on the horn button and see if theres power to it, if theres power then the horns are bad if theres no power and the fuse is good then you may have a bad horn relay or a problem with the horn buttons or a wire in the steering column, okay lets start with the fuse location, the fuse box is located on the leftside of the dash behind the trim panel, i have enclosed the fuse box diagram and circled the horn fuse which is in location #14 and is a 20amp fuse, take note that the horn fuse is the same as the lighter and glovebox light and power antenna, so if those things are working its not the fuse but you can check it anyway, the horn relay is located on the pass/side of the dash to the right of the glove box under the dash, there you will see a relay box with alot of relays, the horn relay is slot # 2, i enclosed a diagram of its location and the relay spot, hope this is helpful .goodluck.johnjohn2_65.gifjohnjohn2_66.gifjohnjohn2_67.gif

My 1993 Buick Lasabre Car horn doe not work and the two horn buttons on each side OF THE STEERING WHEEL are loose. Please help cant heaR A THING. dO NOT KNOW WHERE THE FUSE BOX OR RELAY SWITCH IS LOCATED.

Fuse box is under the dash to the left of the brake pedal and has a black door on it. If the fuse is ok you might have to unbolt the airbag ( 4 bolts on the back of stering wheel)and check to see if the horn plug is plugged into the steering column. This plug has a spring on the end of it, if its out reinstall in the small hole and turn clockwise til it locks in place.
