Question about 1990 Nissan 300ZX

What would cause no injector pulse on only one cylinder in a 1993 nissan na 300zx? put a new motor in it ran great but if you wiggled the wiring harness it would run rough and valve covers leaked fixed the valve covers had to remove intake and wiring and then it always ran rough.Every time i remove the wiring for the motor/intake the wiring seems to get worse so i replaced the wiring harness runs better but no injector pulse middle cylinder driver side and weak/constant pulse passagers side middle cylider(has ground and power all the time passager side only power driver side rest pulse normal) the only thing i think it could be is the ecm any ideas? thanks

SOURCE: electric windows on drivers side won't work

...if you know how to take out the electric window switch...see the burn mark of the switch and see if the switch and the cable not broken...if it broken and had a burn mark in the switch then you have to change the switch...see also the motor inside the door trim...

You need to lubricate the o ring prior to fitting the injector. Without the lubrication the injector does not slide into the fitting and can roll in the groove and get snagged and damaged. A thin film of engine oil will fix it but also check the sleeve where the injector sits in case it has a burr or was nicked during the removal process first time.

The car is a 1993 Nissan Altima 2.4 16 valve twin cam. for a while, it was missing, periodically, not constantly, on the 3rd cylinder. at times, it would run great. then, at other times, miss horribly....


the injector connection they come loose, go to the main harness conection where the injector junction is at wiggle it see if it will start,then inspect for male to female connection

It sounds like the number 2 injector is hung open.

It will dump fuel and cause all sorts off issues with the ECU.

You should ohm that injector and compare it with the others to see if it is wildly different. If so, change it out and retest.
