Kia Spectra, 2008. Vehicle will start and run when gas pedal is being applied but dies when foot is taken off the peddle. While gas is being applied, the engine seems to be running fine.

The IAC (Idle air contro) The ECM extend or retract the idle control for desired operation as loads are applied , The IAC motor is located on the side of throttle body,You need to inspect the electrical connector for looseness and poor connection they tend to seperate and cause the problem you are describing,

Buick Century 97 runs rough and stutters when cold and gas applie

Your cat should last quite a while now it is replaced. I recommend testing coil packs and module. Change plugs and wires and double check your vacuum hoses.

Daewoo lanos 2000the car will not start dies out when gas applied

possible blocked fuel filter or fuel pump not supplying enough fuel (starving) check fuel pressure with pressure gauge
also blocked exhaust or cataletic convertor can cause same issue

1996 geo metro dies when gas is applied. its runs but then it dies when you give it gas, but there was a new gas filter that was just put on,

try holding a lit match near the gas tank to see if the gas is good. if it explodes bad gas was not your problem

Idles okay, runs rough when gas applied

Either a bad MAP sensor, or TPS. What is the code for the check engine light? This will most likely tell you what it is.

Car Starts but wont go.

It could be a couple things. There may be a vaccuum leak in the fuel system such as a bad EGR or PCV valve or the throttle position sensor. I'm leaning towards the throttle position sensor needing replaced. The throttle position sensor reads how far you're pressing on the gas peddle and then feeds that to the computer telling it how much gas to feed to the engine. If that sensor isnt working right then your car will get enough gas to start and idle but will starve for gas as soon as you try drive and will then stall.
