THERE IS A METAL GASKET AT THE BOTTOM OF THE CYLINDER HEAD. MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE THE HEAD AND NOT JUST THE INTAKE MAINFOLD.

I strongly suggest that you get yourself a chilton or haynes manual to guide you through the job.
Otherwise you will end up with your engine in a basket and a huge repair bill to re-assemble it.
Either manual is around $20.00 and they will save you far more than that.

Aaron, there has been a few problems with head gaskets, the bigger problem was with the intake manifold gaskets.

Why is my 1999 Buick Century overheating?

Weird stuff such as a collapsing lower hose happens sometimes, but insure timing is correct, fuel mix is correct, and that head gasket is not leaking.

Why do my coolant keep running out

If you have a 3.1L or 3.4L V6 engine, I can guarantee you have either an intake manifold gasket leaking, internally, or the rear head gasket is leaking externally. They are extremely prone to coolant leaks for both. Get it checked out soon, the head gasket job can cost upwards of $1000.00. The intake leak is half of that if caught in time.

I'm trying to perform a radiator drain (flush) on my 1999 Buick Century Limited. I need to know how.

drain raditor fluid then take off upper and lower hoses and put your house water hose in lower raditor hose and turn on water and let run for about 5 mins. to flush out raditor.
then run in top hose to flush back then lower hose again. that should clean it out.

I have a 1999 buick century that leaks antifreeze, coming from between the front covr and the block, left side of the motor. need help please.

head gasket maybe at fault
buy a can of coolant dye at any auto parts store
install the dye into the coolant
you will need an ultra violet lamp to shine around the suspected area to find the leak after the engine has ran for 30 minutes
