I have a 2003 dodge Cummins 2500 automatic when I press on the throttle to accelerate I get no response I have to let off and push it multiple times before I get throttle response back I have no check...

As diesels tend to have the gas pedal actually be the gas pedal and not the throttle, methinks the sensor for your pedal is misaligned, broken, or corroded. I'd start there.

Hi Jeff, depeding on where you are using the vehicle and the quality of the fuel used, you may be having problems with the injector nozzles or more than likely a defect on the throttle position and throttle operation sensors. Have the vehicle scanned and that will point out any electronic defect, but not a mechanical problem. As you have not given very many details and omitted the year of manufacture, we do not know if the vehicle has an electronically controlled gas pedal or a cable operation. If it is the 1HZ engine the problem may be connected to the head and rotor fitted to the injector pump.Give us more details and we in turn may be able to give you more help. My 1998 ford taurus won't go unless i pump the gas pedal several times. it has a v6 dohc engine. I've tried lucas fuel injector cleaner twice but it didn't do any good.

Anything you add to your gas tank is a waste of money

You know 10 oz of anything in a fuel tank that holds
18 gallons will be diluted, common sense.

You press the gas pedal several times to get a
response. So you have a place to start,if you know
how your vehicles works.

The TPS Sensor would be a good place to start
your testing, not replacing,it could be other things.

Just go to a repair shop

Cold start cranking problems 1987 toyota truck wont hardley crank when cold then fires fine after gets crunk till next morning

My 1987 truck I use to have had a choke and it would stick open some times. When you get in the vehicle, you have to press the gas pedal to the floor once to set the choke and add enough fuel to start the vehicle. I assume your vehicle has a carburetor and would suggest the following:

When your engine is cold, take off the air cleaner cover and base and look the butterfly valves. They are fist valve on the top of the carb air inlet. Go and step on the gas pedal once. Observe if the valves move to the almost closed position or not. If they don

I have a 1999 GMC Safari. Van will drive fine for

see when you say you step on it, and the vehicle stalls, it sounds as if it bein starved of fuel...you step on it, and therefore the demand is there, but not the supply. to prevent itself from over heating, the fuel pump shuts off...after a moment of cooling off, it fires right back up...get it checked at your mechanic...do the strainer on the bottom of the pump, and fuel filter as well...is it time for a tune up yet?

Hard to start, sluggish, does not have immediate power/response when pressing gas pedal.

Could be either of those. But being intermittent, it could also be a wire from your car's computer system.
