Question about 2001 Ford Escape
There is a bulletin on this problem, the latch is defective & needs replacement unfortunately ford doesn't recognize this as a safety recall so you have to pay $$$ I'm working on a customer's car for their passenger front door not opening bad latch. you have to get inside the door & on the latch there is a small release lever you move with a small screwdriver to open the door then replace the latch.
